About Prerana

Prerana is network/community for South Asian immigrant women, on a mission to Inspire, Connect & Empower. It is an inclusive platform focused on building a culture of growth mindset & facilitate empowering, courageous conversations to make our network/community stronger & more confident. Women’s achievements small & big are to be celebrated and Prerana is an enabler to celebrating these women!

There is power in shared experiences, and having courageous conversations, and Prerana is one such place which encourages this through its platform.

Prerana is Dallas based currently with a network expanding every day, and we have expansion
plans to entire U.S. and Pune by 2025.

We offer virtual events & meetups which can be availed for free for our members and local leaders to leverage this as a platform and help more and  more women to connect, be inspired and feel empowered.

We have a virtual - FB Group which allows women from all over US to connect, and a local to DFW WhatsApp Group which enables a feeling of togetherness & an extended support system.

We meet in Person in DFW coffee shops, parks & libraries.

Prajakta Pardikar
Prajakta Pardikar

Prajakta Pardikar is a dynamic leader with a passion for building stronger, integrated communities. A seasoned IT professional with over 25 years in the field, Prajakta’s journey extends beyond her successful career in technology. Having moved across cities and continents multiple times throughout her life, she deeply understands the challenges of finding a sense of belonging in new environments. This personal experience has shaped her mission to create spaces where others feel included, connected, and empowered.


As the Founder of Prerana Sakhi Network, a community platform for South Asian immigrant women, Prajakta is dedicated to inspiring, connecting, and empowering women who, like her, have navigated the complexities of immigration, self-identity, and belonging. Her work is rooted in the belief that strong community support systems are essential for personal and collective growth.

Shilpa Patil
Shilpa Patil

Shilpa Patil is a dedicated public health advocate with a diverse background in dentistry and law. Her journey began in India, where she recognized that health extends beyond medical treatment to encompass social justice and equality. This insight led her to pursue advanced studies in Public Health, broadening her expertise in healthcare policy and systemic challenges.


Upon immigrating to the United States, Shilpa's focus expanded to include mental health awareness, particularly for immigrant women. Drawing from her personal experiences navigating cultural transitions while balancing family and professional aspirations, she co-founded Prerana.


This initiative aims to support immigrant women by providing resources and guidance Shilpa wished were available during her own journey.


Her multifaceted background and personal insights drive the organization's mission to create a compassionate and responsive support system.


Prerana addresses the unique challenges faced by immigrant women, fostering resilience and empowerment as they navigate their new lives in the United States

Anjali Patil
Anjali Patil

Anjali Patil is a seasoned project manager with over 13 years of experience in the IT industry. She has consistently demonstrated a commitment to delivering results while nurturing collaborative environments that drive team synergy and achievement.


Her diverse experience across continents has given Anjali a profound understanding of the challenges women face when adapting to new cultures. As a co-founder of the Prerana Sakhi Network, she is dedicated to inspiring, connecting, and empowering women, and fostering a robust community of support that encourages continuous learning and growth.

Radhika Dewang
Radhika Dewang

Radhika Dewang is a software engineer by profession and a passionate artist at heart. When she's not coding, she enjoys creating beautiful paintings. As a mom to a son, Radhika thrives in social settings and loves being surrounded by people. She brings a unique blend of creativity and technical expertise to everything she does.


As a co-founder of Prerana Sakhi Network, she leverages her personal experiences and understanding of the challenges faced by South Asian Women in the USA to support and empower other women.
